Audience Cards

Part of this project included facilitating a participatory creative activity at the event in Concord.

  • As a class, we brainstormed phrases and questions connected to the way “truth has been depicted, contested, and explored” in our experience within the last two years.
  • These activated phrases and questions were printed onto brightly colored cardstock.
  • At the event, participants chose a card that intrigued them, and answered the question or completed the phrase using an old-school, analog typography tool called Letraset (sheets of rub-on letters). Letraset (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letraset) is incredibly fun and easy to use, and allows for visual experimentation in the moment.
  • Participants also had access to pens and markers if they preferred to hand draw/hand letter their responses.
  • These annotated/completed cards were displayed at the event, and can be viewed below.
